Angelic Languages is a small company run by me, Elisabetta Angeli. I provide high quality Italian Language services, including tuition, translating and interpreting for individuals and companies.

I am a freelance native Italian translator and language teacher who has lived in the UK for 30 years. My passion and exposure to languages dates back to my childhood Italy. As I’m originally from Trentino, a county on the border of Italy with Austria, learning German was part of my upbringing. My omnivorous curiosity for everything foreign has, over the years, lead me to learn more languages. I have a MA in Translation, a BSc (Hons) in English and French, and a PGCE in French and Italian.

I also hold a CFET (Level 1) and CELTA (Level 4) enabling me to teach English to speakers of other languages.

The journey has taken me to wonderful yet unfamiliar and challenging places, and languages have always been the trait d’union of all my professional decisions, starting with tourism and later leading me to teaching. I set up my own school in 2003, Angelic Languages, teaching Italian to people of all ages and levels, both in group classes and one to one tuition. Over the years, I’ve translated documents for Gloucester Cathedral, survey documents for people buying houses in Italy, rental contracts, as well as medical and scientific texts for my Masters, and subtitled videos.

My expertise lies in Tourism and Education. I have a real passion for sustainable tourism and promoting the learning of languages both inside and outside of schools. I have worked in highly competitive environments, but also done a lot of voluntary work in schools promoting the learning of Italian.
